This week addresses a tough topic; violence against children. March 12th should have been Ashley Johnson-Barr's 13th birthday, instead today be remember the bright star we lost. On this day we remember her and show our support to her and her community by wearing purple, her favorite color. While we think of her we must also remember the countless other children who face violence.
This session several legislators have introduced bills to improve security and safety in our Alaskan communities, by following along you can make sure your voice is heard. Keep and eye and ear out for these following bills, and remember: your voice matters! by providing letters of support/opposition or calling in to publically testify we make sure the safety of all Alaskan's comes first!
