I'm excited to share my first blog post with you! A little about myself: my name is Pakak Sophie Boerner, I am Alaska Native and German, and my family comes from the Native Village of Kiana waaaaayy up north. I am currently working on my masters in Cultural Anthropology hoping to focus on public health as my future career field. Growing up with such diverse heritage has taught me a love of culture, and I hope to use my background to serve my community and Indigenous voices in Alaska and nationally. I look forward to sharing with you my experiences in policy work as I embark this exciting fellowship! Paġlagivsi!
